1. EXPENSIVE TORONTO SIGN

The beloved Toronto sign at Nathan Phillips Square will cost taxpayers $150,000 to maintain it until the end of 2016. City Council will vote on whether or not to spend the cash in May.


 

2. MOD CLUB ASSAULT

The police say that no charges will be laid after a female fan at a punk show was drop kicked off the stage by the lead singer. The Story So Far has been banned from the Mod Club and the fan who was literally kicked off stage says she was not hurt, and that it’s her fault for being drunk and jumping on on stage in the first place.

3. WEEKEND DVP & TTC CLOSURE

If you like to plan your weekend in advance like yours truly, the DVP will be closed this weekend from the 401 to the Gardener for spring maintenance. There will be no subway service on line 1 between St George and Lawrence West.


 

4. ATTAWAPISKAT SUICIDE CRISIS

Parliament Hill is shocked by the suicide rate in Attawapiskat. A state of emergency has been declared. Mental health experts have been sent to the First Nation.


 

5. 4DX MOVIES

This summer you can find out if Chewbacca smells like a dog at Yonge Dundas Square. Toronto is getting 4DX movies. They include moving seats, virtual reality goggles and real fog, mist, bubbles and smells in the movie theatre.
