1. RAINBOW CN TOWER

Prime Minister Trudeau and Premier Kathleen Wynne raised the Pride Flag at Queens Park yesterday. Toronto Pride Month started this week and for the first time ever, the Trans AND Pride flag are both up at City Hall. Last night the CN tower was lit up like a Rainbow. Pride Month wraps up with the parade on July 3rd.


 

2. BIKE LANE PARKING BLITZ

Toronto’s week long bike lane parking blitz is on and nearly 100 tickets are being handed out a day. The Right 2 Bike campaign will set you back $150 for parking in a bike lane.


 

3. ARGOS TAILGATING

The Toronto Argonauts announced that tailgating will be allowed at BMO Field this season. Fans can bring their own propane or charcoal bbqs to a licensed parking lot. You can’t bring booze but cold beers will be sold for only $4. The home opener is June 23rd.


 

4. MP HUNTER TOOTOO RESIGNS

Liberal MP Hunter Tootoo says he has hit a brick wall with his alcohol problem and that it is his reason for stepping down as the Mister of Fisheries. His cousin, NHL player Jordin Tootoo took to twitter to point out how brave it was for him to stand up and ask for help.


 

5. BEER FLAVOURED SODASTREAM

Sodastream is launching a beer making home appliance. The Beer Bar by Sodastream makes one kind of beer called the Blondie. Its only currently available in Germany and Switzerland.
