1. PAY YOUR RESPECTS TO ROB FORD

The public can pay their respects to former mayor Rob Ford today and tomorrow. His body will lie in repose at City Hall. A public celebration of his life is also planned for Wednesday.


 

2. GHOMESHI VERDICT – MARCH OF SOLIDARITY

Hundreds marched in Vancouver yesterday to show solidarity with the women who accused Jian Ghomeshi of sexual assault. They carried signs that read “we believe you” and “we will not be silent.” Ghomeshi was found not guilty on Thursday of choking and sexual assault. In June, he faces 1 count of sexual assault that involves a former CBC co-worker.


 

3. PAKISTAN EASTER BOMBING

70 people were killed in a massive suicide bombing in Pakistan. Christians observing Easter Sunday were targeted in Lahore. Three hundred people were injured.


 

4. BABY BORN WITH FULL HEAD OF HAIR:

A baby born in San Francisco with a full of head of hair went viral on the weekend. The kid was compared to Will Ferrel’s famous character Ron Burgandy from Anchorman.


 

5. BATMAN V SUPERMAN

Despite terrible reviews, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice remained #1 at the box office and 6th on the list of top 10 movie openings of all time.
