1. FINAL FORD FAREWELL

Rob Ford’s 12 year old daughter called her Dad the “Mayor of Heaven” at his funeral yesterday. Ford was only 46 when he died after an eighteen month battle with cancer. He leaves behind two children.


 

2. COLD WEATHER COMING

A polar vortex will make it feel like February in Toronto next week. Temperatures start to drop Saturday with a chance of snow Sunday and Monday. Expect wind chill factors in the -5 to -10 range.


 

3. BIZARRE TTC INCIDENTS

There were a couple bizarre incidents on the TTC yesterday. A woman’s hair was set on fire by another passenger on the Queensway bus. The suspect was later arrested. On the Finch bus, a passenger was assaulted with perfume.


 

4. NO CANADA IN PLAYOFFS

Despite a win last night, the Sens were eliminated from playoffs. It’s the first time since 1970 that ALL 7 Canadians teams are out of the Stanley Cup playoffs.


 

5. SNAPCHAT UPDATE

Now you can do more than just barf rainbows on Snapchat. The update includes includes a new and improved chat feature good for audio and video calls, along with lots of new stickers.
