1. NO TRIAL FOR GHOMESHI
There are reports that Jian Ghomeshi’s sexual assault charge will be withdrawn today in favour of a peace bond. That basically means he promises to keep the peace. There is no finding of guilt made or conviction registered if a person agrees to a peace bond.

2. TORY VISITS DISPENSARY
Mayor John Tory checked out a pot dispensary in Kensington yesterday. He is concerned about the number of stores in the city. Tory will meet with MP Bill Blair to talk about possible regulations. Former Prime Minister Jean Chretian is in favour of legalization. There are currently more pot shops than there are Pizza Pizza’s in Toronto.

3. RAPTORS LOSE
The Raptors lost game 4 to the Miami Heat in overtime. They will be back at the ACC tomorrow. That means the Pearl Jam show will be pushed to Thursday.

4. CENSUS DEADLINE DAY
It’s Census deadline day. If you got a note in the mail to do the census you have until midnight. By law your household must complete the questionnaire.

5. FORT MAC EVACUEES PACKED HILARIOUS THINGS
Fort McMurray residents are trying to lighten the mood a little with a new Facebook page detailing the strange things some people saved when they were evacuated. Jennifer took cheese slices and snow pants. Rodney brought his trophy bear head and Louise says she took the bbq but forgot to bring socks. See more pictures here.
