9 TV Shows You Should Be Watching

Couch surfing at its finest

The weather is starting to turn, which is terrible news for leaving the house, being productive, functioning as a human, etc. One thing that it is great for, however, is a fresh batch of content for the idiot box. Watching TV has never been easier, so set up on the couch and plan accordingly with some must-check programs.

Narcos (Netflix)

The tagline for this show: “There’s no business like blow business.” Narcos is based on true events revolving around the world of drug lord Pablo Escobar. It’s on Netflix so no waiting for the next episode.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine (Fox/Netflix)

Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Andy Samberg and the crew are back in the 99th precinct for another season, this time with Bill Hader at the helm as captain. Catch up on the first two seasons on Netflix and catch new episodes on Fox.

Saturday Night Live (NBC)

The classic sketch comedy returns for an amazing 41st season. Donald Trump will be hosting November 7th and Disclosure will be the musical guest November 14th. The Weeknd and Amy Schumer were already on this season as well. Almost makes staying in on Saturday nights cool.

Bob’s Burgers (Fox)

Bob's Burgers
The Simpsons will always be the number one American animated family, but in recent years the Belchers have made it a two horse race. Bob’s Burgs is very underrated show.

Nathan For You (Comedy/MUCH)

Nathan For You
The guy behind “Dumb Starbucks” is back with Season 3 of his docu-reality show in which he “helps” local businesses.

Silicon Valley (HBO)

Silicon Valley
This show is about computer programmers trying to make it big in Silicon Valley. That’s not the most enticing description, but it is very funny and draws off of co-creator Mike Judge’s experience in the Valley in the 80s.

Drunk History (Comedy/MUCH)

Drunk-History (1)
Watching comedians get drunk and tell tales from American history is very entertaining. The show always features some of the funniest people alive “reenacting” the stories.

Portlandia (Netflix/IFC)

Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein are easily the funniest duo on TV. Taking on everything weird that is Portland in this hilarious sketch based show. Must watch. Seasons 1-3 are on Netflix, but there are 5 in total.

Modern Family (ABC)

The Dunphys are in their 7th season already and are always sure to deliver a laugh.
