“A Full Recovery is Expected” For Joni Mitchell

quite the sigh of relief

It’s been what we can only imagine a rough couple of weeks for Joni Mitchell and her family, but it seems as if there may be a light at the end of the tunnel.

After being hospitalized on March 31st when she was found unconscious in her L.A. home there was lots of speculation about her condition. In an interview with the Huffington Post, David Crosby stated that she was not speaking yet, and remained in serious condition.

However, in a press statement posted Sunday made by Joni’s conservator Leslie Morris, it claims quite the opposite:

Joni did in fact suffer an aneurysm. However, details that have emerged in the past few days are mostly speculative. The truth is that Joni is speaking, and she’s speaking well. She is not walking yet, but she will be in the near future as she is undergoing daily therapies. She is resting comfortably in her own home and she’s getting better each day. A full recovery is expected.

As a longtime friend of Joni Mitchell, Leslie Morris was appointed her conservator in May when Joni became unable to make healthcare decisions for herself. Morris is encouraging fans to send wellwishes for Joni to WeLoveYouJoni.com.
