A Tribe Called Quest reveal artwork, details on final album

When's the last time you heard a funky diabetic?

It’s been 18 years since A Tribe Called Quest last delivered a record, but the wait comes to an end on November 11, when the group drops We Got It From Here…Thank You 4 Your Service on Epic Records.

A Tribe Called Quest—Q-Tip, Phife Dawg (who died in March of 2016), Ali Shaheed Muhammad, and Jarobi White—turned out five records in the 1990s before splitting ways in 1998. New music from one of the most influential hip hop acts of all-time arrives next week.

“The extraordinary times in which we now find ourselves desperately call out for a new message from A Tribe Called Quest, and We Got It From Here… is that message,” chairman and CEO of Epic Records LA Reid said in a release.

“For nearly two decades, it has been my deepest personal wish to add one more chapter to their incredible legacy. I am deeply honored that Tribe entrusted us with this historic and final album.”

We Got It From Here…Thank You 4 Your Service boasts an all-star lineup of guest spots, including Anderson Paak, André 3000, Busta Rhymes, Consequence, Elton John(!), Jack White, Kendrick Lamar, and Talib Kweli. The group commissioned painter/photographer Richard Prince to design the cover art for the record.

Have a look.
