Toronto’s first YouTube Space is officially open, located at Richmond and Sherbourne (230 Richmond Street East). The facility is not only Toronto’s, but Canada’s first YouTube Space where YouTube creators can access professional equipment, a studio, a soundstage and sets.
The YouTube Space is located on the George Brown campus, as George Brown students helped to design the open concept space. The 3,500 square foot facility is loaded with YouTube’s notable red, white and black colour scheme but also features Toronto art as well.

Studio 1 is covered with murals by Runt, the artist who is known for painting the iconic Lee’s Palace art. It also features some Canadiana pieces, like old snowshoes and skis as wall art behind a cozy couch area.
Here’s the thing: YouTube creators with more than 10,000 subscribers can use the equipment, sound stages and studios. If you have less than 10,000 subscribers, don’t worry- you can still access the space. Anyone can sign up for workshops and events to learn from popular YouTubers.

This space gives YouTubers a creative space to come together and collaborate or simply hang out. They no longer have to travel to New York or Los Angeles to collaborate, with this YouTube Space right in Toronto.
