Ad-Rock Confirms The End Of The Beastie Boys

In recent interviews with The Daily Beast and GQ, Beastie Boys’ Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz confirmed the iconic band will not continue making music following the 2012 death of their drummer, Adam “MCA” Yauch. “Adam started the band, so it’s done,” Horovitz candidly told The Daily Beast, ending any speculation of future tour dates or music from himself and Mike “Mike D” Diamond. When asked if he would consider making Beastie Boys music as a duo, Horovitz simply replied, “Oh god, I hope not!” Well, that clears that up.

For now, the former Beastie Boy is following other creative pursuits, including hitting the big screen next month in Noah Baumbach’s film While We’re Young alongside Ben Stiller, Naomi Watts and Adam Driver.
