‘Jagged Little Pill’ is 20 Years Old So Here are 10 GIFs of Alanis Morrisette

20 years of teen-aged angst

Nobody can deny the insane impact Alanis Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill has had on alt and indie music since its release in 1995. The Canadian singer-songwriters third studio album and first international album debut was hugely successful, and not just here at home: the record won 5 Grammys including Best Rock Song and Album of the Year (at 21, Morissette was the youngest artist in history to win this award).

With wildly popular hits like “Ironic” and “Hand in My Pocket” on its track listing, it sat on the U.S. Billboard 200 at #1 for 13 weeks and is certified 16x Platinum. Rolling Stone ranked the album 327th on “The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time,” and 31st on their “Women In Rock – The 50 Essential Albums” list. It has been called one of the most successful albums of the 1990s.

In celebration of the 20 years, Alanis is releasing a special 20th anniversary edition of the 1995 album. The collectors version will cost you about $50 to get your hands on it, — but it is limited to about 300,000 copies. The four discs will include the entire album remastered, early demos, and a live recording of a 1995 gig in London. Otherwise you can get your hands on the two-disc deluxe version for about $20.

To celebrate massive success of Jagged Little Pill, we’ve compiled a list of 10 of the finest Alanis Morissette gifs the internet has to offer. Enjoy.
