Global festival goers may soon have another reason to visit the “City of Festivals”.
Coachella producers Goldenvoice signed an agreement with Indio, CA to keep the festival within the city through 2030. The agreement also entitles Goldenvoice to hold five events in Indio per year. After both Coachella weekends and their country-themed festival, Stagecoach, there is still room for two possible events. There has been “significant progress” on a fall festival, according to Indio Mayor, Glenn Miller.
This year’s Coachella is scheduled for the weekends of April 15-17 and 22-24 with a huge lineup featuring Guns N’ Roses, LCD Soundsystem, Sia, Ice Cube, Disclosure, and many more.
