Toronto Police Looking for Man Wearing Angry Birds Costume Involved in Aggravated Assault

A Halloween assault left a man with serious injuries

The Toronto Police force are seeking the public’s help to identify a man who was involved in an aggravated assault the night before Halloween.

On Sunday, October 30, 2016, a 24-year-old man in the Queen Street West and Peter Street area was stopped by a man in an angry bird costume at around 2:30 a.m. The man in the costume became aggravated when the 24-year-old commented on his Halloween costume, turning around and knocked the man to the ground and attacking him.

The victim suffered a concussion, broken nose and jaw, deviated septum, and stretched retina. Police are looking for a man approximately 5-foot-10 – 6-foot-0, wearing a costume from the popular video game and animated franchise.
