Beer expected to elude Toronto supermarkets until 2016

So close but so far

Take a deep breath beer drinkers – wobbly pops aren’t expected to hit Toronto grocery stores until 2016 now. Previously, The Star reported that we were expecting beer to be available by Christmas, but there’s been a hiccup in the plans.

CEO of the Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers told blogTO that it will more likely be another year and a half till we can pick up a six-pack at a local grocery store. Don’t fret though – once the beer floods in, there’s going to be a minimum of 20% small brewery beers in stock. Forked River, Amsterdam, Great Lakes, anyone?
