Bikers Stop and Help Stranded Rider and Discover it’s Bruce Springsteen

New Jersey looking out for their own people

A group of bikers in New Jersey came across a broken down motorcyclist after a Veterans Day event Friday. To the group’s surprise the rider was none other than the legendary Bruce Springsteen. The group tried and failed to get Springsteen’s ride up and running again, so ‘The Boss’ hopped on Dan Barkalow’s ride and went to local bar where they chatted for a while until his ride showed up.

The group was from the Freehold American Legion. Springsteen was born in Freehold, NJ and his father was a veteran, which would make him eligible to join the Legion.

“Bikers gotta stick together,” Barkalow said. “I stopped to see if he needed help, and it was Bruce.”
