Vote for the Indie88 Billboard Winner

Vote for the Indie88 Billboard Winner

It’s bigger! It’s better! It’s back! Presenting “Win a Billboard” from Indie88 and Outfront Media.

This year we’re making it bigger by giving away THREE giant billboards to one lucky listener, seen by over 4.5 million people! One huge billboard towering above the streets at Bay and Bloor, and a message in lights on two massive digital outdoor screens and on 45 more digital interior screens at Yonge Eglinton Centre – and now you get to decide who wins.

The finalists have been chosen from hundreds and hundreds of remarkable and/or ridiculous entries… Now it’s up to you. The concept with the most votes will have their idea made into reality for all to see. The below images are simple depictions of the concept, not the final design. Check out the incredible billboard ideas and stories below and vote for your favourite now! (Limit one vote per IP address, per day.)

Feed The Fro

Don Matthews

I am going for the world record Afro to attract attention to, a charity that rescues kids at risk from broken families, poverty, sex, drug, physical and mental abuse.

max rsquo s big ride

Max’s Big Ride

Andrew Sedmihradsky

This summer my four-year old son Max and I will ride a cargo bike 600 km from Ottawa to Hamilton to raise money for research into Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a disease that currently has no cure. We expect to have a lot of fun and eat lots of ice cream along the way but this ride has a serious side too as Max suffers from DMD – a disorder that gradually weakens the body’s muscles.

love is love

Love Is Love

Shawn Bell

I would love to have a billboard put up with a simple message: “Love is Love. Equality for All.”

say it with bubbles

Say It With Bubbles

Peter Abramowicz

A picture of my disapproving face with words, “There is no angry way to say the word ‘bubbles’.”

hidden dinosaur

Hidden Dinosaur

Sarah Ross

Why can’t you see the dinosaur hiding behind this billboard?
Because he’s so good at it!

bone marrow for mike

Bone Marrow for Mike

Tricia-Lee Keller

I’d like to feature my friend Mike Daykin and his search to find a bone marrow match. Mike is an awesome teacher, a math tutor, a mean chili maker, a basser (or, so he thinks), lover of shark week and friend. He and his wife are expecting a little dude (we’ve nicknamed him Bacon Daykin) at the end of this month.

adopt a pet

Adopt A Pet

Adam Hogan

My idea is to use my dog (@keepitcarter on Instagram) to raise awareness about dog/pet adoption. A lot of people treat dog adoption like buying a used car in that they don’t want to adopt “someone else’s problems”. Too many dogs need homes, and I’d like to show people that adopting one is the best way to go (you can get an amazing dog!).

Let’s Get Hitched

Use it to propose to my girlfriend! I’d lure her to Toronto for a day of local silliness and fun and I’d top it off with a billboard proposal.
