After being united by heartbreak and shared emotional trauma, members Stephen Joffe, Adrian Morningstar, Chris Blades, and Kintaro Akiyama worked through their experiences together through music and introduced their debut EP The Fifth.

Two years later, the Toronto-based band is getting ready to release their follow up full album, Victoria, which is scheduled to drop on October 20. In light of this upcoming release, we bring you the Birds of Bellwoods’ second new single “Catching Up,”a powerful force of moving harmonies and emphatic, driving rhythms.

According to the band, “Catching Up” is about reflection and coming to terms with their present state.

“It’s basically our collective existential hangover. It’s also currently our favourite song to play live. It is a reflection on the past and a realization of the present. A real, ‘THIS is who I’ve become, and now I have to live with it.’ Get ready for the drop.”
