Before headlining Eaux Claires this summer, Justin Vernon announced that Bon Iver’s performance at the festival would the band’s last.
As of yesterday, the Bon Iver frontman broke his promise (which is totally okay with us) to announce an Asian winter tour. He also said that the band wasn’t writing new material earlier this year, which was also a lie after Bon Iver introduced a couple new tunes at the festival. Vernon took to Twitter to announce the tour, stating that they are doing it because “we’ve never been”.
It’s not a North American tour, but hey we’re getting somewhere. Baby steps people, baby steps.
We're headed to Asia to play some shows early next year! We're going because we've never been. Join us! pic.twitter.com/fDfzmdb1rS
