Bryan Cranston talks about revisiting a particularly awesome role

We don't mean to get in the middle or anything..

If you’re here because you thought this article might mention the resurrection of Walter White in Breaking Bad, we’re sorry to disappoint you.

In a recent interview with ET Canada, Bryan Cranston revealed that the character that he would love to slip back into is actually Hal Wilkerson – father of Frankie Muniz via Malcolm in the Middle. Disappointed? You shouldn’t be. As Bryan said it himself, “I don’t have a yearning to go back into [the ‘Breaking Bad’] world because we just covered it completely, I think.”

Yep, there’s not really much more Walter White can do from where viewers last saw him.

Malcolm in the Middle, however, left Hal in a much more lively situation. Even if it was 10 years ago. Bryan said, “I look back on ‘Malcolm In The Middle’… and It’d be fun to pick up [Hal’s] clothes again and be fun and sweet and adorable and hapless and clueless and afraid of everything…”

We’ll take what we can get!
