Indie88 is proud to support the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health’s One Brave Night on May 13, 2016. Nighttime can be the hardest for people living with mental illness. It is in the darkness that they feel most alone and have the least amount of hope.
CAMH One Brave Night for Mental Health asks Canadians to bravely share one night to inspire hope for the 1 in 5 people who will experience a mental illness in their lifetime.
Indie88’s Raina Douris is staying up all night with other Canadians to inspire hope and raise funds for CAMH. She’ll be broadcasting live on Indie88 overnight while the Indie88 street team travels around Toronto celebrating others participating in One Brave Night live on air.
“Almost everyone’s life has been touched by mental illness or addiction in some way – be it their own, a family member, or a friend. In my own family, I have seen people struggle against, work with, and overcome both addictions and mental illness. Personally, started going to therapy myself over a year ago and it changed my life completely. It can be a scary thing to take the first steps towards mental health, and CAMH not only makes those first steps easier – they help you on the rest of your journey, too.
Everyone deserves support and care.”
