Canada’s Walk of Fame recently announced that its Emerging Artist Music Mentorship Program, supported by RBC, will return for its fifth year. The mentorship program has quickly evolved to become one of the country’s top initiatives supporting aspiring Canadian musical artists.
With a grand prize of $25,000, private studio recording sessions, introductions to renowned artists, access to music industry influencers, as well as development and funding, the Emerging Artist Music Mentorship Program, supported by RBC can ultimately offer up and coming artists the break they’re looking for in the music industry. Overall, the program’s awards are valued at $100,000.
The program is now open for submissions, so if you’re an aspiring musician get your video or audio performance in by April 30.
“This program has proven that, by bringing together our music industry connections and offering aspiring Canadian musicians opportunities for mentorship, exposure and funding, we can make a considerable difference to their careers and further influence our cultural landscape for generations to come,” says Canada’s Walk of Fame CEO Melanie Hurley on their official website.
“We are proud that this program continues to help musicians flourish.”
Finalists will chosen by a committee made up of music and industry professionals and will be announced in summer 2017.
