Three glasses of champagne a week improves memory, says science

It's science: bubbly can help prevent Dementia and Alzheimer's disease.

Scientists at Reading University have discovered that downing three glasses of champagne a week can help prevent Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

The study was conducted using rats, and it also shows evidence of increased spatial memory for regular champagne drinkers thanks to a compound found in pinot noir and pinot meunier.

Jeremy Spencer, a biochemistry professor at the university described the results as “dramatic.”

“This research is exciting because it illustrated for the first time that moderate consumption of champagne has the potential to influence cognitive functioning such as memory,” said Spencer.
