CMW Daily Best Bets: Thursday, May 7

Three is better than one

There is a little something for everyone today: three different bands, three different sized venues, and three very different sounds. Take your pick!

DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE | SONY CENTRE | TICKETS

Death Cab For Cutie brings their new record Kintsugi to the Sony Centre stage Thursday night. Bring some tissues and make sure you’re there early. The Antlers will be opening up the show.

Take a listen to one of their new tracks below:

KING TUFF | LEE’S PALACE | TICKETS

My predictions for this show include a lot of floral shirts and a good amount of crowd surfing. King Tuff brings his surfy psych-pop sounds to Lee’s, and Twin Peaks will be kicking things off.

Here’s a taste of the “Madness” you can expect (see what I did there?!):

BRONCHO | THE HORSHESHOE TAVERN | TICKETS

Dine Alone Records celebrates their 10th birthday with Broncho, Solids, Monster Truck and more at the Horseshoe.

See why they’ve been played on the HBO show Girls below:
