In April, Star Wars fans rejoiced when Disneyland announced plans to build two Star Wars themed parks.
The theme parks are to be installed in both Disneyland, California and at Walt Disney World, Orlando, and will be the largest-ever single-themed land expansion in the park.
Today, the first images of the highly anticipated attraction was shared online. The Walt Disney Company revealed an image of the 14-acre on the park’s blog.
The full image gives a us a bird’s-eye view of what the park will look like, complete with an X-Wing hovering above the sci-fi setting.
Although the attraction’s opening date is yet to be announced, Disney stated in a press release accompanying the concept art that construction begins in April of 2017. Which, to us, seems pretty far, far away…
But, until then, we will have to make due with the sneak peak Disney released, along with some fun little details like how the Millennium Falcon will in fact be present at the park.
The official press release states,
“Look closely and you may find hints of some of the thrilling experiences that are coming — like the Millennium Falcon peeking out of one of the cargo bays, marking the location where guests will get the opportunity to pilot the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy.”
