Toronto will not take a page out New York City’s book with regards to taking dogs on public transit. The Toronto Transit Commission put the public’s fears to rest Wednesday, confirming that they have no plans to force dog owners to carry their pups in bags when using the subway.
“We want people to be able to travel the system to get to where they need to go with their pets,” TTC spokesperson Brad Ross said.
Kinda cute, but also kinda cruel, images of adorable doggies being carted around in bag in New York City have been blowing up social media.
the New York City Subway banned dogs unless they fit in a bag and the people of New York did not disappoint. pic.twitter.com/vluNcZHBmW
