Eagles Of Death Metal Perform In Paris Again, Frontman Says “Everybody Has To Have Guns”

Jesse Hughes explains his views in an emotional interview

The Eagles of Death Metal took the stage in Paris to perform for survivors of the November terrorist attacks.

Since the Bataclan has not reopened yet, but is set to eventually, the band played at the Olympia music hall.

According to the BBC, frontman Jesse Hughes described their return to Paris as a continuation of the concert that they never finished on that tragic November day. During their first song “I Only Want You” the band cut for 89 seconds of silence to remember the people that had fallen. The band then continued with much energy as fans crowd surfed and moshed. EODM have resumed touring, with plenty of 2016 North American dates (see below).

In an interview with the French television station iTélé, an emotional Hughes opened up about the attack and his views on gun-control.

“Did your French gun control stop a single fucking person from dying at the Bataclan? And if anyone can answer yes, I’d like to hear it, because I don’t think so. I think the only thing that stopped it was some of the bravest men that I’ve ever seen in my life charging head-first into the face of death with their firearms.”
