Toronto is heating up over the next week, but a mix of sun and clouds this weekend makes for the perfect weather to get out and enjoy the outdoors. 1. BBQ Eats Festival

What better way to kick off barbecue season than to check out the BBQ Eats Festival this weekend? Come down to Ontario Place June 9-11th for a weekend of free cooking classes, equipment showcases, and the chance to taste the best of BBQ from around the world right here in Toronto.

Toronto chefs are invited to bring their grilling talents to a huge BBQ cool off to compete for the $10,000 grand prize. Get your tickets here.


 

2. Catch some live music

Local band Do Say Make Think come to the Danforth Music Hall on June 10 following the release of their new album, Stubborn Persistent Illusions. Get your tickets here.

3. ROM Friday Night Live

From May to June the ROM is hosting a series of themed Friday Night Live events, featuring live entertainment, food and drinks.

The theme this week is Love. “What is love? Explore the forces of attraction, romance, lust, and sexuality through art, culture and nature.​” Whether you’re coming for the featured exhibitions or the entertainment, you won’t want to miss this truly unique event.

4. Beaches Arts and Crafts Show

Head down to Kew Gardens Park Saturday and Sunday to check out the 33rd annual Beaches Arts and Crafts Show. Browse through locally produced art, decor, health and beauty products, homemade goods, food and drinks at the outdoor marketplace from 10am to 6pm on June 10th and 11th.

5. Manifesto 11

Now in it’s 11th year, Manifesto brings together artists and music enthusiasts alike to celebrate hip hop culture and unite the community through music and art. Canadian R&B duo Majid Jordan, The Internet, and Isaiah Rashad are among the artists featured at this years festival, to be held at Echo Beach on Saturday, June 10.
