Five Things To Do in Toronto This Weekend

We might be looking at jean jacket weather this weekend, which means many Torontonians will be coming out of Netflix hibernation. Looking for stuff to do? We’ve got you covered. Check out our list of stuff happening in Toronto this weekend below.

1. See Jupiter tonight in Toronto

The largest planet in our solar system will align with Earth and the Sun tonight, making it an ideal night for some planet gazing. The event is called “opposition” and only happens once every 13 months. You can see the gas giant with the naked eye, but NASA recommends grabbing some binoculars to “see Jupiter’s four Galilean moons, Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto.”

2. Joel and Bill Plaskett Saturday night at Massey Hall

The father-son duo will be stopping by Toronto tomorrow night to perform songs off their album Solidarity. Click here for tickets.

3. Boy Meets World Dance Party Saturday night at Sneaky Dee’s

Sneaky Dee’s is hosting a Boy Meets World-themed dance party near you tomorrow night! Grab your best denim, scrunchies, and dad shirts, and get your dance on to some ’90s tunes.

4. Toronto International Spring of Horror and Fantasy Film Festival All Weekend

From today through Sunday, catch a combination of short films and feature films all weekend at this horror movie fest. Tonight’s feature films include The Haunt and The Unwilling. Click here for this weekend’s full schedule.

Bonus: Watch the Leafs fight for a playoff spot in back-to-back games

The Leafs are playing two home games this weekend, one Saturday night at 7 p.m. and the second Sunday night at 6 p.m. — two great excuses to get some friends together and celebrate our Toronto team as they push for a playoff spot.
