The fourth season of House of Cards‘s premiere date was just announced on March 4th, and along with it might be one of the realest looking fake marketing campaigns out there.
The official House of Cards twitter posted a unmistakably real looking campaign commercial to Twitter Tuesday (December 15th), at the same time it was aired during the Presidential Republican Debate on CNN.

Along with the premiere date for the show’s return to Netflix, the show also advertised Frank Underwood’s campaign website for his second run at President. The website looks a lot like real presidential candidate’s, and maybe even better. They even advertise outlines of the faux-politicians political strategy.
The creators also hid an Easter egg on the website hinting at how last season ended, placing a page link for Claire Underwood in the side navigation bar.
Francis J. Underwoood voices this motto:
These are my mottos. I have no patience for useless things – like political gridlock and stagnation. And neither should you. Join me. Let’s roll up our sleeves together. Let’s plow through the stubborn and smallminded and send Washington a message loud and clear.
“America, I am only getting started,” Underwood states in the commercial, “I am Frank Underwood and I approve this message.”
