Strombo Remembers Chester Bennington with Story from Much Music Days

Music community is once again in mourning

On Thursday, Linkin Park’s singer Chester Bennington was found dead in his L.A. home, from an apparent suicide. Bennington was a husband and a father of six, and an important voice to a generation to music fans around the world.

Since the news of his passing, there’s been an outpouring of tributes to the late singer, sharing their most cherished moments, whether from a live show or a moment where they felt a connection to his music.

Shortly after the news George Strombolopoulos posted on Facebook, remembering a time when “Chester and Linkin Park saved our asses at MuchMusic.” Later in the day he went on to share the story, in a half hour-long live video on Facebook.

Artists took to social media, passing their condolences to Chester’s family and bandmates. Rihanna posted on Instagram that Bennington was “literally the most impressive talent I’ve ever seen live!”
