Toronto, it’s time to store away those heavy winter jackets because Spring has arrived early this year.
Accuweather meteorologist Maggie Johnson told The Star, the warm May-like weather in Toronto is expected to continue through to the end of March. “These temperatures are closer to the average highs in May,” said Johnson.
This week we can expect higher than normal temperatures, with a high of 17°C tomorrow (March 9). In comparison, the average temperatures for March in the city are 2.5°C to 2.7°C with the end of March hitting close to 8°C.

According to Johnson, the cause of this warm weather is a jet-stream coming from the Southwest that’s sending out warm air, while the coldest air is being sent out to northern Canada.
But remember, this Spring-like weather also brings rain, so don’t forget your rain-boots. Rain is expected this Wednesday and Thursday.
