Grizzly Bear Share ‘Mourning Sound,’ Share Album Details

New album 'Painted Ruins' out this summer

Grizzly Bear have picked up a couple new skills while on their five-year break.

The band shared a second new single today, “Mourning Sound,” that has a more up-beat rhythm than we’re used to with the band, as well a heavier reliance on synth effects — though with the same Grizzly Bear flare.

The new track was shared today as part of the announcement of new tour dates (see below), and the band shared details of their forthcoming album. Their follow-up to 2012’s Shields will be Painted Ruins, and is expected for release August 17th. The new album will also include the previously released “Three Rings“.
