Happening Now: Captain John Towed From Toronto Harbour

Photos show locals preparing for the towing of the legendary seafood ship

The legendary Captain John’s Seafood boat has been docked in the Toronto Harbour since 1975, but the rusty icon has remained unused and empty since 2008, while the owner (Captain John himself) tried to sell his ship. He did, and it is sailing an eight to nine hour journey to Port Colborne, Ontario today. Torontonians have gathered to share the ship’s final moments.

CP24 is also doing a live stream of the towing.

Waiting for the tow to start. #captainjohns #toronto
