Hockey Themed Festival to Take Over Distillery District this Fall

Street festival with promises of live music and a bubble hockey game

The Distillery District is working hard to forge its own identity outside of its inaugural Christmas Market. Recently, the pedestrian friendly area was home to a Suicide Squad pop up exhibit and now it is prepping to host a new street festival.

This fall the Distillery District will be home to the NHL’s World Cup of Hockey Fan Village. The NHL World Cup of Hockey will be hosted at the ACC from September 17th to October 1st. There are eight teams in in the World Cup: Canada, USA, Finland, Czech Republic, Sweden, Russia, Europe and North America, with collectively over 150 NHL players.

BlogTO also reported that the Fan Village will be set up for ten days. It will run from September 16th until the 25th. It is said to feature live music, a virtual arena and bubble hockey.

Be sure to check out the NHL World Cup of Hockey Fan Village during its limited run this fall.
