It’s official. A sequel to Love Actually is in the works…sort of! Sorry to burst the bubble of all Love Actually fans but it’s going to be a short and sweet one, expected to run in the range of 10 minutes. We’ll take it.
The production of the sequel has yet to film the entire cast for the reunion but there is an impressive list of actors getting their hands dirty in this project.
The short film will include appearances from Keira Knightley, Hugh Grant, Colin Firth, Liam Neeson, Bill Nighy, Andrew Lincoln, Rowan Atkinson, Lucia Moniz, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Olivia Olson and Marcus Brigstocke. Director Richard Curtis addressed the sequel in a press statement. “I would never have dreamt of writing a sequel to Love Actually, but I thought it might be fun to do 10 minutes to see what everyone is now up to,” said Curtis.
“Who has aged best? – I guess that’s the big question… or is it so obviously Liam?” he added.
An actual trailer has yet to been released for the short film but take a look at this parody trailer for Love Actually 2 below. We’re expecting something a little different from the official release.
