How Vance Joy keeps himself from going crazy on tour

Vance Joy talks with Matt Hart about the oddly specific ways he keeps sane on tour.

Once you look beyond the actual concerts, the day-to-day life of a touring musician is not really all that glamourous. For a guy like James Keogh, otherwise known as Vance Joy, it has got to be difficult to go through an eight month long tour and not lose your mind after just a week of being stuck sitting inside a tour bus.

Matt Hart sat down with James to chat about how he manages to stay such a nice, normal and happy guy despite the grueling lifestyle. Watch the video in the player above.

Matt Hart is most known for his musical work under the name The Russian Futurists. The Russian Futurists gained popularity with the 2000 album “The Method of Modern Love” which boasted celebrity fans such as R.E.M., Blur and the late Heath Ledger. Recently, Matt has shifted focus to broadcasting with host duties at CBC Radio and now at Indie88.
