How You Could Be Stressing Your Dog Out

A scientific discovery you won't want to agree with

This scientific discovery is one that has dog lovers shaking their heads. Apparently, your dog has no interest in you hugging them… and it actually makes them stressed out.

Stanley Coren of Psychology Today wrote an article on why you should stop showing affection to your dog through hugs.

Coren examined photos and in about 80 percent of them the dogs looked uncomfortable. Apparently dog’s body language exhibit signs of anxiety and stress when they are being hugged.

Signs your dog doesn’t want your hugs include; hanging ears, half moon eyes, turned head and lip licking. Will that stop you? Probably not.
