IKEA to start selling bulk candy in Canada

IKEA shopping just got a whole lot sweeter

Have you ever been lost inside the foreverhole maze that is IKEA worried you wouldn’t be able to make it without a boost of energy? Now you can shop easy, as IKEA announced they will be introducing bulk candy bins in several Canadian locations for all your sugar rush needs.

The Swedish furniture giant stated they planned to install the easy to pronounce “Lördagsgodis” section into 12 locations this fall to their self-serve food market.

Based off an old Scandinavian tradition which roughly translates to “Saturday Candy”, it encourages kids to have a “sweeter” Saturday by going out and getting a bag of their favorite candies. The tradition now works for any day of the week, and isn’t limited to children, so don’t worry they won’t judge if you’re 20+ and having a “bad week”.

The bulk candies will be a mixture of 48 varieties of licorice, gummies, sour candies, and chocolate which will run for $1.99 per 100 grams. The candies will not contain any trans fats, GMO’s, high-fructose corn syrup or artificial flavors.

Happy (candy) shopping!
