Electro-pop outfit Van Damsel are stretching out their arms far past their hometown of Kamloops, British Columbia to make their mark on a national scale.

Following their 2013 EP The Sunshine, Girl, Van Damsel have been revising and perfecting their sounds to follow up with a full length, self-titled LP this spring. “This LP represents our broader palette, incorporating more influences than we have in the past,” drummer Matthew Barron says of the upcoming record. Their new record promises a blend of EDM and R&B centered songs, layered in irresistible indie-rock hooks.

Van Damsel have shared their first track “Sophia,” an 80s-inspired electronic based tune, with a video that visualizes the band on the road and live in concert. Check that out in the player above.

The band is touring Canada again in April/May and in Toronto for CMW. Van Damsel comes out April 22, and is available for pre-order here.
