Jack White is taking a break from touring, after acoustic shows

Time to take a break

For the last few years Jack White has been going nonstop. It started with the release of his debut solo record Blunderbuss and it’s coming to an end with the final few shows in support of his sophomore record, Lazaretto. I think it’s fair to say that he’s earned himself a nice little breather. That is exactly the plan for Jack, as it was announced in an official press release yesterday.

He won’t stop making music but he will be “taking a break from performing live for a long period of time.” Before Jack hangs up his guitar for a while he’ll be playing five acoustic shows in five different states and for the low cost of $3. Only catch: locations and ticket venue will be announced the day of the show through the Third Man Records twitter account.
