Remember that time, about four months ago, Kanye “jokingly” stormed the stage after Beck won Grammy Album of the Year, and then dissed Beck in a post-show interview? Remember that immediate public apology after it? Apparently that wasn’t enough for the UK’s Sunday Times. They asked about it again, and Yeezus’ comments surprised us all.

He still says that Beyonce’s self-titled LP should have won Album of the Year (shocking), BUT he admits that his thoughts about Beck were “inaccurate.”

“I’m fine to apologize for inaccuracies. You know, I send flowers for inaccuracies. I talked to Beck’s wife, and I think I had a point about Beyonce’s album, but I think I was inaccurate with the concept of a gentleman who plays 14 instruments not respecting artistry.”

Wait, what?! Is Kanye a changed man? Not quite. He said that the insane backlash he received was “bullshit,” and that his thoughts were “a mass opinion.”

“Isn’t it amazing that people are so constantly shocked by the commonly agreed-in truth? How much bullshit are we in if, every single time I give not just my opinion, but a vast 80%, 90% opinion, I get into that much trouble? When the truth is a mass opinion. That’s not about accuracy, it’s the definition of truth.”

We’re no longer sure what he’s apologizing for. But at least it’s something, right?
