Space Jam 2 Sequel Confirmed, Likely to Star LeBron James

A sequel to the popular 1996 film

After a ton of success with the first Space Jam movie, writers have announced they’re one step closer to releasing a sequel.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Justin Lin, Andrew Dodge and Alfredo Botello are in the midst of writing the script for Warner Bros. Space Jam 2.

Basketball extraordinaire LeBron James’ SpringHill company signed a contract with Warner Bros., which most likely means he’ll be starring in Space Jam 2.

The 1996 original film featured famous basketball player Michael Jordan who teamed up with the Looney Tunes characters to defeat aliens at basketball and save their freedom. It grossed more than $230 million worldwide.

No release date has been set for Space Jam 2 yet.
