Lenny Kravitz To Replace Green Day At World Cup of Hockey Concert

It ain't over 'til it's over.

It’s something unpredictable, but in the end it’s right – Lenny Kravitz will be headlining Friday’s concert at the World Cup of Hockey Fan Village.

This announcement comes quickly after Green Day, the original headliners, cancelled due to illness. The band put out a statement, via Facebook, Monday announcing the poor news. But what’s that saying? The show must go on – and thanks to Lenny Kravitz, it will.

Kravitz will be filling the spot for the American punk rock band Friday night, playing a show in the Distillery District, following a special welcome to Canada’s 2016 Olympic team at 6:30 p.m. Fans who were originally hoping to rock out to Green Day have the option of a full refund, or they can attend the Kravitz concert. Ticket holders will have until 5 p.m. Thursday to refund tickets.

Better get brushing up on your Lenny! Here’s a throwback to get you started.
