Broken Social Scene co-founder Brendan Canning has revealed plans to release his first full band solo LP this coming summer, titled Home Wrecking Years
Written between 2013 and 2015, the “Prime Rob Ford years,” as Canning notes, “Maxing out as a six-piece we jammed in my living room, making enough pleasant noise for the neighbours to enjoy during that summer of 2014. And just as our mayor was falling apart, we were indulging in a little sonic deconstruction on the south end of Draper Street.”
Canning shared the first track from his forthcoming LP, a 90s style, summery grunge pop track “Book It To Freso”:

Home Wrecking Years is due out August 12th via Arts & Crafts.
