Glasgow based indie-pop trio, CHVRCHES just pulled a Radiohead and surprise-released a brand new track called “Warning Call”.

The shimmering anthem was written for a new video game, Mirrors Edge Catalyst. Frontwoman Lauren Mayberry wrote the lyrics from the perspective of Faith, the main character in the parkour-based video game.

Iain Cook said the following in a press release:

“We were honored to be asked to contribute to the soundtrack for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst. The sound of Chvrches’ music resonates with the minimalist sci-fi dystopia of the Mirror’s Edge world, and we feel that the song complements the drama, emotion and empowering themes of Faith’s story.”
