Listen: Florence Welch and Rufus Wainwright Collaborate For Shakespeare Sonnet

In honour of the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death

Florence and the Machine’s Florence Welch and Rufus Wainwright have teamed up to collaborate on Wainwright’s new Shakespeare dedicated album, Take All My Loves: 9 Shakespeare Sonnets. In honour of William Shakespeare’s 400th death anniversary on April 22, Wainwright has created this album which features nine Shakespeare sonnets performed by actors and musicians.

Welch sings on Sonnet 29, “When in Disgrace with Fortune and Men’s Eyes,” which also features backing vocals by Wainwright. Other artists on the album include Martha Wainwright, William Shatner, Helena Bonham Carter, and Carrie Fisher.

Take All My Loves: 9 Shakespeare Sonnets will be released on April 22 via Deutsche Grammophon.
