Listen: Grimes Goes “Medieval Warfare” on Suicide Squad Soundtrack

Might be the best part of the film so far

Say what you will about film’s reviews, it’s fans who don’t understand how aggregate voting works, or Jared Leto’s goth-Juggalo interpretation of the Joker, the soundtrack to Suicide Squad‘s OST might be the highlight of the franchise.

There’s never been a distinctly easy way to classify Grimes music, not to say that it even needs to be classified, but the experimental artist has dropped a new track for the anti-hero movie and for that reason, rather than try to describe it, just listen and cast your own judgments. Check out the first half of the song that premiered via Zane Lowe’s Apple 1 Radio show below:

Also take a listen to “Standing in the Rain” featuring Mark Ronson, Action Bronson and The Arcs/Black Keys frontman Dan Auerbach below. Expect more music from Kehlani, Kevin Gates, Eminem, and Panic! At the Disco covering Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” on the soundtrack to come.
