For the past year we’ve been hearing little snippets of new James Blake material, slowly fueling the overwhelming desire for a follow-up to 2013’s Overgrown.
There’s not a ton of information out there about the new album with regards to release date, title and so forth, but it has been confirmed that Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon and Kanye West are due to make an appearance on it. In February Blake dropped a new tune on BBC Radio 1, “Modern Soul” which made use of his silky R&B textures and soothing voice he’s known for.
Today Blake shared another track via BBC Radio one, but it’s definitely different. “RPG” is a erratic sounding electronic track with MC Trim’s fast-paced lyrics over top. Take a listen in the player above.
