Listen: Moby and the Void Pacific Choir make comeback with “The Light Is Clear In My Eyes”

20 years later and Moby is still changing the game

No you didn’t read that wrong, THE Moby is back and more energetic than ever.

Along side his band The Void Pacific Choir (not Julian Casablancas’ The Voidz), the 50 year old electro-dance veteran has just released a brand new track “The Light Is Clear In My Eyes” via Arts & Crafts. Judging by the trashy, modern-house inspired rock sound and the imaging of the video, Moby is going for a sort of 80s hypnotic-thriller vibe.

Stereogum has also pointed out that Moby and the Void Pacific Choir are featured on dance-producer Robin Schulz track “Moonlit Sky”, from his recent album Sugar.

While there’s not much else as far as information about his new release, a press release included this mysterious quote: “ ‘California is a queer place — in a way, it has turned its back on the world, and looks into the void Pacific.’ D. H. Lawrence”

Stay tuned for more updates.
