Listen: Outtakes from Trent Reznor’s Gone Girl’s Score + Fight Club Revamp

A never-before-heard track from Trent Reznor & a possible Fight Club Rock Opera in the works

David Fincher’s adaptation of Gillian Flynn’s bestselling novel Gone Girl was a huge hit this past year, no doubt in large part due to its musical components: you can’t go wrong with a score composed by Trent Reznor.

According to Reznor’s Apple Music page, there are quite a few tracks that didn’t make it into the movie. He’s planning on sharing them, beginning with the just released track “Abandoned Sets.”
Take a listen here, and check out some footage he also shared of he and Atticus Stone composing the score below:

It’s also been rumoured that the classic film Fight Club is getting a revamp, rock opera style. It hasn’t been confirmed by either, but at San Diego’s Comic Con Chuck Palahniuk — author of the book on which the film is based — stated that Fincher and Reznor have teamed up for the project.
